Waiting on Wednesday: Between You & Me

When you read regularly and seem to consume books at the speed of light, it's easy to become complacent. I often look for books that are truly unique and that will shake my shelves up a bit. I believe this week's 'Waiting on Wednesday' pick will do just that! Written by Marisa Calin (author of the popular Edelstein Trilogie), and published by Bloomsbury USA, this novel will debut on August 7, 2012:

Phyre knows there is something life-changing about her new drama teacher, Mia, from the moment they meet. As Phyre rehearses for the school play, she comes to realize that the unrequited feelings she has for Mia go deeper than she’s ever experienced. Especially with a teacher. Or a woman.

I really adore the premise of this novel. Not only does it deal with taboo/forbidden relationships (student-teacher), but it also embraces the MC's sexuality, demands critical thinking from the reader, and is written in a screenplay format. What can you not love about this book?
