Another 2-weeker! Sorry I was absent last week, everyone. I've had... an interesting 2 weeks and just did not feel up to making a post or video last weekend. I have a lot of "life things" going on right now, so I may not be as active as I usually am on Twitter or Facebook, but I'm gonna keep reading and reviewing as usual, so thanks for sticking with me :-) I scored a pretty hefty haul the past two weeks, so let's get to the goodies!

Whew! What a hot, humid, rainy week it's been in Houston. Today was the first day in about 2 weeks that it didn't rain once! Happy weekend, everyone! :-) I hope you've had a wonderful week in life and in books. It has been so rainy here in Texas - literally every day - and so I've had a lot of time to read. In fact, I've published four reviews this week, so be sure to check those out at the bottom of the post! Now, on to my lovelies :-)

Whew! What a haul, eh? I realized after making the video that I missed 2 books, but those will be in next week's post! I am a little intimidated my by growing reading pile, but I'm also excited, too, at the opportunity to read so many amazing books. Choosing to participate in Blog Tours does lend a bit of pressure when reading, but when finished, I'm always glad I did. Happy Sunday, everyone! No vlog for me this week, unfortunately - or perhaps fortunately for you because I look like a hot mess! I've been enjoying this 5-day weekend by staying up entirely too late most nights and sleeping in entirely too long. Subsequently, I look like that proverbial "something" your mother always said the cat drug in. Moving right along, though... Despite my odd sleeping habits, I did score some amazing books this week. They are all eBooks, but that's great because I often like to read two books at once - a physical copy and an eCopy. Call me crazy - or maybe... Wait, how does the song go?? I digress...

So, as you can see, it's not a super big haul, but it's a good one! I've had my eye on the Jenny Han series for a while, and after reading the latest rave reviews, I broke down and bought them. With Summer sweeping across Houston with a vengence, I figured I'd mix in some summery, contemporary reads. These books should fit the need perfectly :-) I also bought Ready Player One on suggestion of Jen @ BookAndLatte. Jen has been a big champion of this book lately, and since her book tastes usually match mine, I decided to go for it. Have you read the synopsis? Click on the book cover above. It sounds SO good! And finally, I received Knee Deep from Tribute Books as part of a Book Tour stop I'll be hosting on July 19, 2012. I've read good reviews for this one, too, so I'm excited to dive in!
